Music & Dance Workshop with Krystal Puppeteers

Work with artists Fidelis Kyalo and Chrispin Mwashaga from Krystal Puppeteers to learn about the art of Kenyan dance, drumming, and songs!

Recommended for families of children ages 5+

Individual tickets are available for $15 via the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine website.

You and your family will move to the beat with hands-on lessons. Make music with shakers and djembe drums as you learn Kenyan dances and songs together!

Following the first 35-minutes of this music & dance workshop, older students and their families will be invited to ask questions and interact with the puppets used in Krystal Puppeteers' performance of “Tears By The River.”

This workshop is presented in partnership with the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine.

The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine is committed to following CDC guidance as it pertains to their decisions around the spread of COVID 19. Cumberland County, Maine is currently identified as an area with LOW COMMUNITY LEVEL for COVID-19. As of Saturday, June 4th, masking at CMTM is optional indoors for staff, as well as visitors aged 2 & up attending their play sessions and theatre shows. Masking policies will continue to adjust to respond to the designated “community level.”
