Gain regional visibility for your company while helping the PiP Festival present artists from across the globe AND keep prices affordable for audience members.
Not only is PiP a great event for local residents, the festival is marketed as a cultural destination to tourists throughout New England and in New York, Chicago & Miami!

Are you as excited as we are about the return of Puppets in Portland in 2026?!
You can help this dream become a reality by making a tax-deductible donation in support of the festival with the link below!
If you prefer to contribute offline, please write a check payable to “Puppets in Portland” and mail it to the following address: Mayo Street Arts, 10 Mayo St, Portland, ME 04101.
Festival volunteers help us out with general needs (postering, artist transportation, artist housing, etc.) and at specific events (box office, concessions, puppet parade, etc.).
All event volunteers receive free admission to the event at which they volunteer. Other volunteers receive admission to events based on the amount of time donated.

Artists are invited for the full week to perform multiple shows and teach a workshop. While here, you’ll also have time to enjoy performances by fellow puppeteers from around the globe, a lobster feed off the Maine coast, and all that Portland has to offer!
We are no longer accepting artists for PiP 2026. Applications for PiP 2028 will open in October 2026.
