By popular demand, PiP brings you an opportunity to perform AND a place to gather after the shows!

Head on down to The Apohadion Theater on Fri 9/25 & Sat 9/26 after your 7:00 PM shows let out.

Doors open at 8:00 PM with a food truck at the ready. The slam kicks off around 9:00 PM.

We’ll feature 5+ different acts each night drawn from festival artists and local & visiting puppeteers. Emcees from Tough Luck Puppets and Stop Puppeting Yourself Puppet Co. will keep things rolling with help from a live house band.

After the puppet acts, Portland's hyper-charged NEW FREAKOUT project Crazy Déjà Vu will bring the nights to a crescendo!

Puppets in Portland tickets are available through PortTIX, the trusted box office for Mayo Street Arts!

Advanced ticket sales end two hours before each event.

Tickets may also be purchased at the door, pending availability.

PAY WHAT YOU CAN

No one will be turned away from PiP events for lack of funds.

The Apohadion Theater has an ADA compliant wheelchair ramp and restrooms.

EVENT PARKING

Paid on-street parking can be found on the surrounding streets; parking is limited.

In Portland, vehicles displaying a valid disability plate or placard are exempt from meter fees and may park up to double the posted time limit at meters and in time-restricted zones.

One parking garage is located within walking distance of The Apohadion Theater:

  • The Chestnut and Lancaster Street Garage (75 Chestnut St, Portland, ME 04101) - 8 minute walk

SEATING POLICY

Tickets to the Late Nite Puppet Slam are only available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis.

COMMUNITY HEALTH

Audience members — in addition to artists, staff & volunteers — who feel sick or exhibit symptoms of illness should stay home out of respect for others.

CANCELATION POLICY

PiP has a no refund policy for all reservations. In the event that PiP is forced to cancel an event due to weather, illness, etc., refunds will be offered via PortTIX.
